I don't know about you guys but I love my NP435.  Great gear reduction and tough as nails.  No worries about overheating or fluid starvation.  I'll tell you what I used to hate about my NP435, shifting it.  It was long.  No, it was loooooooooooooong.  And, it was an upward and downward motion which really wore my shoulder out at the end of the day. Now there's the Gear Banger.  A solid billet shifter that is CNC machined from a solid piece of 6061 aluminum.  It relocates the shifter behind the transfercase shifters for easier operation offroad.  Additionally, it reduces the throw by 33% which gives you a quick and firm shift.  Essential for street driving or sand drags (can you say SOB?). |

Because the transmission shifter is now behind the transfercase shifter(s) some modification of the transfercase shifter(s) will likely be required (shifters will need to be bent).  Aside from that, a drill/drill bit, and basic hand tools are all that are required to install the Gear Banger, which can easily be done in an afternoon by the average shade tree mechanic. |
